I dont know if it relates but I've always had trouble pairing a controller to my s8 I've tried on a few games now with nothing but issues. It may just be our phones 😔

From what I was reading earlier today, the 1697 model doesn't have Bluetooth; it was introduced in the Xbox One S model shortly thereafter (I can't remember the model number off the top of my head). I was trying to tackle this myself because I also have
a 1697, but I'm going to look into other methods to try and connect them.
