Having trouble logging into Xbox on the app, and in-game. WebView2 Runtime framework message.

I recently resetting my computer just yesterday. I went to re-download an app I had previously and that all went fine, I was able to get to the login page on the launcher easily. While doing this, I saw Xbox had been downloaded in the background and thought nothing of it. When I pressed 'Microsoft Login' on the game's launcher, it showed a message from Xbox, reading: 'To sign in to Xbox, please install this framework: WebView2 Runtime'. When I clicked the 'install' button at the bottom of the page, it said: 'We couldn't sign you in to Xbox Live. Sorry, something went wrong. Try again in a while (0x89235107).'

I tried to download WebView2 Runtime manually through Microsoft, but that didn't work. I looked on the Minecraft website, thinking it was just an app thing and began to follow the instructions there, downloading the Xbox Console Companion App, but when I got to the next instruction I was stumped. I went onto the Xbox app and clicked sign in, and it showed me the same message at the Minecraft app! I tried the Xbox website, searching my error code, but nothing showed up. On the Minecraft website, I tried to go ahead in the instructions, I went to 'settings' and then the 'general' tab and there were no missing dependencies listed.

I was unable to attach any screenshots of the error message as I'm having trouble uploading them here but I hope my descriptions earlier were enough. The in-game and Xbox app error messages are the same. If I could get help with this that'd be really great, thanks!

I am very sorry for the problem you are going through, with the intention of being able to help you I did an internal search on the Microsoft forum and found a publication by Gerardo C., an independent advisor, where he suggests the following steps to try to solve the problem:

Please try resetting the Xbox app, the Microsoft Store, and your Minecraft Launcher as follows:

1. Press the Windows + I keys on your keyboard to open Windows Settings and click "Applications."

2. Find the application called "Xbox" and select it, then click on "Advanced Options" and then on "Reset" and confirm the process, do the same for the application called "Microsoft Store" and for the one called "Minecraft Launcher" .

3. Restart your PC and check if the problem is fixed.

1. Search the game through the Microsoft Store and download there

2. Launch the game through Microsoft Store (not through shortcut or any other way)
