    Having to hard reboot xbox


    Everytime my xbox goes to sleep or dims while im AFK i have to unplug the xbox to play destiny again i have no other issues with any other apps or games. Is there a fix for this?

    The game boots up and is laggy and when it validates everything i get a chicken error code before char select screen. When i unplug the xbox one and power it back on i can log in and play fine until the next time i want to play then i have to repeat the
    process.

    No Xbox Live Gold After Xbox Preview Update

    A lot of people are having hard times with Xbox Live connection with the Preview Dashboard. I would suggest a console hard reboot and if that doesn't work try to delete and recover your xbox profile.

    I am also having this problem semi regularly.

    A hard reboot is only fix.

    I own 2 xbox one consoles. Im about to the point of selling them and just going outside.

    It certainly doesn't reset all of your settings, however if you had changed settings prior to crash and hard reboot it's possible those changes wouldn't be saved.

    Doing a hard reboot of the console normally restores the xbox to a working status if there is a bug or a black screen for example, and it may restore some system setting back ti default if you or anyone has changed them in the menus. Hope this helps you

    Hard reset/power cycle will not change any of your settings. It will clear your cache.

    It is safe to do this.

    A factory reset will however change the settings on the console slightly.
