    Having some issues setting up a dev account


    I'm a software engineering student working on setting up my Xbox dev account. Having a bit of trouble. It requires a display name (calls it a company name) even though it's an individual account. I think it flagged me because of the name (I tried something generic, then more specific but got flagged both times). I've contacted Microsoft Support and sent an email to [oneescp@microsoft.com](mailto:oneescp@microsoft.com) a couple days ago but haven't heard back. Does anyone know if I have the wrong email or else how to better approach this?

    Had the same issue I made a new Xbox account strictly for dev mode once I set that up it worked

    Hello Tero_Koo! I'm Kris and I'd be happy to help you with your question.

    Sorry to hear you are having issues with this. In some games, some devs put in a restriction if the account age is below the age rating of the game for the region then it won't allow to go on multiplayer and no setting in Xbox Family will override it.

    Is the age of the childs account over the age rating of the game?

    Had the same issue what I done was made a new account strictly for dev mode once I got my new account set up it worked I spent 2 days trying to figure this out hope it helps you

    I think this is an issue you will have to take up with the NBA2k devs, as your 2k account goes through them not through microsoft

    I doubt the devs can help as it's a Microsoft Store issue. Is your account region set to your actual physical location ?
