having sensitivity issues

Hey i’m having trouble with my xbox controller and i’ve seen some other people with this problem but cannot find a fix. My controller is very sensitive on the home screen and in apps/games every nudge of a joystick goes flying even my bumpers and d-pad are doing this . I am using an xbox series s and i do not have any updates i can do on my xbox or controller and i don’t have an ease of access tab,

It is possible that you might need to adjust the sensitivity settings for the left and right sticks on your controller using the Xbox accessories app to help get this resolve. And before we proceed, we will perform some steps first>

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try:

1. Try resetting your controller by pressing and holding the Xbox button on the controller for about 10 seconds until the controller turns off. Then, turn it back on and see if the issue persists.

2. Check if your controller needs an update. To do this, go to Settings > Devices & accessories > select your controller > Device info > Firmware version. If there's an update available, follow the on-screen instructions to update your controller.

3. Try using a different controller to see if the issue is with the controller or the console.

4. If the issue persists, try resetting your console by going to Settings > System > Console info > Reset console > Reset and keep my games & apps.

Hi there. Sorry your having this issue. Is the controller stick sensitive to just a particular game or is it in general. Some games do come with a sensitivity setting with the game settings.

I have DirecTV, and in my cable box settings there are options for adjusting the sensitivity of the remote. Does your Entone have a similar setting?

Setting it to be less sensitive would likely solve this issue.

If you feel that the controller isn't operating as intended and you purchased it from a retailer with an exchange/return policy, you may want to consider exchanging it for a new one. However your description sounds as if the controller is working to me.

You're the best judge of that though so if you feel it's worth exchanging, go for it.
