Having random lag spikes on lower quality games.

I keep trying to play some games on Roblox that are on the lower quality side but keep having huge lag spikes that randomly move my fps from 55-60 to 1fps when my pc isn't hot, low on battery, or need an update. It's very frustrating when I'm trying to play a fairly simple game and end up not being able to because I keep ending up having too many spikes to actually enjoy the game or play it correctly.

Here are the troubleshooting steps to perform:

Please make sure that your internet connection is stable.

If it is an option, use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for a more stable connection. Kindly restart your router or modem to refresh the connection.

And then close unnecessary background applications. Kindly close any unnecessary applications and services running in the background because they are using up your bandwidth or system resources.

Next is to update graphics drivers. Do this through the Device Manager or by visiting the manufacturer's website.

Then lower graphics settings. In Roblox, go to the settings menu and lower the graphics quality.

After lowering your graphics settings kindly check for Windows PC Updates because your device should be up to date.

If none of the steps work, please run network troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network troubleshooter.

Hoping that this'll help in fixing the lag experiences on your game.

Well then, here goes.

I live in USA, GA

Modem brand: Ubee\ Model number D3.0

Router brand: Apple time capsule (store.apple.com/.../time-capsule-2tb)

My connection to xbox live is wired

Things I have tried: reseting my router and modem several times.

When I run a connection test no NAT errors come up, although when I play a game that shows you your NAT type i.e call of duty... again, it is moderate

I have not encountered any error codes

My ISP: Comcast

Mister Darcy: Alright so after I started having problems I reset my modem and router, then I went and follwed Taidara and Mister Barakus's advice and got my NAT type back to open and (at the time) my lag problems had stoped, then a day later my lag had
started again (my NAT type was still open) so I then follewed Vibroplex's advice and made a direct connect to my modem. Upon following the advice of Vibroplex nothing seemed to be wrong with the connection, then after reconnecting my Ethernet cable to my router
all problems had stopped, it's been 2 more days and no problems have been had.
