Having problems with purchasing a game with my card

Here are the troubleshooting steps to perform which will help in making your purchase successful:

If you are trying to complete the purchase online on a PC please set your PC region to the same region of your account in order for both regions to align and allow you to complete a purchase online.

Select Start > Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region.

Under Country or region, select your new region.

And on the Xbox, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Navigate to Profile & System > Settings. In the Settings menu, select System.

Choose Language & Location. Under Language, pick your preferred language from the dropdown list.

In the Location section, select the region or country you want to set as your locale. This should be the same with your account region.

After making changes, kindly restart your Xbox device.

Next is to remove and then re-add the card back to your account in order for it to refresh.

Next is to double-check if the card has enough funds to complete the purchase.

If incase that after performing these steps the issue persist, kindly give it 24 hours before trying to complete your purchase again in order for all the failed attempts of purchase to refresh.

Peter, You can still buy in the form of a gift card yes. If the problem is only in the purchase by card, you purchase by gift card would have no problem.

Usually this occurs for several purchases at the same time on the card, so it is actually blocked for a period of time.

I'm also having this problem right now...can't purchase with a different card...I'm using a relative's card though since I still need to deposit money in my account to use my own card. The peculiar thing is that I used this card (the relative's) in the past
to purchase points but now when I try to change it to this card to purchase something, I get the same error mentioned above.
