    Having issues with the A select button not working on some screens


    The A “Select” button does not work on some screens while it works on others. This issue is occurring across multiple controllers (3 different ones) and multiple games. For instance, I cannot get past the main menu screen in Minecraft because select does not work. But if I immediately go to an Xbox menu outside of the game, it works there. Had similar issue Apex Legends. With UFC 5, I can get into the game because hitting the A button is not required, but the A button is needed to skip the fight intro scenes and it does not work, but works when fighting.

    This leads me to believe it’s an issue with the console. Can someone help?

    As some have said the main issue if the RAM. Too many processes on at once which causes a memory issue. Similar to windows Blue screen but not as troublesome. Two options. Go to the homescreen, press the menu button over unused applications that are open
    and select quit. Option two. Restart console.

    I have an issue with my Day One Edition controller's "A" button not working with the main system menus(home screen,sign in,power off etc) but works fine in any game menu and gameplay but then wont work right in apps like Amazon Instant Video or Netflix to

    Duh? I'm well aware of that. Did you read my post? Probably not. I stated: Hitting the Xbox button, going to Broadcast/Capture and selecting Capture does not work and hitting Xbox button and hitting Y to take a screenshot
    does not work either as the latter option just exits out of the home screen and gameplay resumes.

    It doesn't work. Its not a timing issue. It doesn't work for any game I have. Its not a game issue.

    Have to push A button multiple times to select on main screen

    I have the same problem and cache reset does nothing. It only happens with the a button and only on home screens. It happens with both of my controllers and i dont believe it is a hardware problem because games and apps work perfecltly. Also when you press
    the a button the tile flashes like it registered, but nothing happens
