Having issues with Borderlands 3 on start screen....goes back to dashboard

Recently logged into BL3 last night, goes to the title screen and prompts to press A to sign in. States signing in to my profile, then goes back to the Xbox dashboard. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but same issue occurs. Opened games management
tab to check for updates, but no updates available. I know there was an updated patch last week December 12th, not sure if it updated automatically. Current version 1.0.0.9

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes.
Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

Appreciate the quick response, I did try that twice with no success. Any other help is much appreciated. All other games that are stored on my hard drive whether internal or external storage work with no problems.

Borderlands 3 and I click on it and it's just shows the start up then goes back to Xbox home

I have same issue with dead rising 3. Game boots up fine but after 2 minutes my screen goes black and returns me to dashboard.

I actually just had this issue today when I went to play Call of Duty. I put the disc in and it automatically loaded to the first screen telling me it's starting and then goes back to the dashboard/home screen. Tried it with Forza Motorsport 5 and it had
the same result. I finally got it working when I pulled the power cable from the back of the Xbox and waited about 2-3 seconds and then plugged it back in. Give it a try before anything else. Not sure why that worked for me, but it did.
