Having issues connection to gtav online

My connection isn't great, I'll say that. My wifi connection will occasionally drop to around 1 bar. But, when I played the 360 gta v online, I hardly ever had any issues. I'd only ever get disconnected randomly and very seldom without a reason.

Now, on the XB1, I'm finding it very difficult to play online. It's constantly asking me "Who are you?", whenever I get into a lobby, I'll play for a short time, then it'll go black and say "you were signed out of Xbox live" when I can still open friends
list, messages, parties, Netflix, etc. So I'm not signed out but it's saying it is.

I have a moderate LAN. My ISP is AT&T, and there's a router downstairs; there's also a tiny, portable modem-like thing that is connected to the router - it's upstairs with me. Even when connect to this, it's actually worse.

Any help, please (lol)?

To be honest, I'm not even 100% certain it's because my wifi sometimes drops very low in connection. The reason I say this, is because I've gone online a few times, full connection, and it'll say I was signed out of xbl and I need to return to gtav. This
is becoming very frustrating.

6 family members in different locations all have own xbo all having issues with installing online purchases and signing in. Tried to buy GTAV at 6.30am Xmas morning as a gift for someone and they're still waiting for it to download at 8am boxing day?

sorry to hear you are having this issue my best recommendation for this is to call ROCKSTAR - 1866-922-9694 (GTAV) that's the phone number for rockstar its only for GTAv issues

you can sign in through the friends menu in gtav online then put your info in there i had the same issue to lol

I read thru this and it occurred to me that you have to play the intro to GTAV first before accessing GTAV Online.

I might be wrong and I haven't played for awhile but I have completed the single player on X360, but seem to recall Online wasn't available until the intro was finished.

It's not just GTAV Legend... but that's the main one. Battlefield 4 and Tomb Raider DE, I have the same connection issues with them on Xbone as well. Yet on Xbox 360, no problem whatsoever.

Bro exactly my problem!!!

In GTAV I got my garages and business the same as GTA Online (Cloudgaming).

I had to transfer mu data to GTA Online.

But now Im playing the original game, GTAV and I dont have the same bankaccount as in GTA Online.

My character also wears different clothes so the same account (GTAV) is not merged with the GTAOnline account...

Somebody have a good and intelligent response to this? Please dont come with a crappy, basic answer u copied from another post.
