Having issue with bit depth

Hello Sir or Ma'am,

My Xbox 360 has an issue with the output that started about 2 weeks ago. It is stuck as 8-bit output. I can tell because the gradient's video shows pixilated output. Also, my receiver has a info page and shows the output as 8bit on the HDMI input. I have
another TV that uses component and the gradients are exactly the same. My second Xbox 360 shows movies perfectly fine.

Can you please give me some info on how I may be able to correct this issue or help me open a repair incident?

I also have the same issue. the disc plays fine in other players. did any one get an answer to this?. I've tried changed color space, bit depth with no success.

If your screen does not support a higher bit depth(as most don't) you will not notice any thing other then increased input lag cause by the television down sampling to the supported bit depth,
