    Having an issue with software on my Xbox one


    So I got home this morning after a night shift, and wanted to play xbox. After hitting the home button on the controller it is seems like someone is holding down the left directional .. with no contact with anything else.. so I turned the controller off
    and tried navigating the home screen with my tablet, to the same result.. can anyone shed some light ion this for me?

    Hey there!

    If you haven't already double check the Xbox Live Status page and if the game is not down go ahead and hard reset your Xbox by turning it off and unplugging the power cable for 10 seconds and turning it back on.

    tohellnbak, it's not an ISP issue. It is a problem with all of the Software on the Xbox One. My Day One Xbox One has been pretty much the OP's problems from Day One.

    A simple test to see what is an "ISP issue" and what the Xbox One truly fails in terms of Software is simply have no Connection and go Offline. The Xbox One will still have many of those problems (sans anything regarding an Online Function obviously).

    The Software side of Xbox fails this time around.

    Third party headsets might cause all the problems you listed there. Try turning the headsets off and totally disconnecting them for a day or 2 and see if the problem still persists.

    I have had the same issue. I cannot turn my kinect "on" because its missing that option under the kinect tab. I have tried everything in every article.
