Having a problem with the xbox.it has no sound.

So i look at the settings and its saying headphones are plugged in when they arent.i put the headphones in after that and take them out again and the sound comes back through the tv but this happens often.how can I stop this?

Must note that weve recently got new controllers so maybe it's that? Help would be appreciated

Hello Jonahjones79, this could be a bug in the Xbox system, I don't know if you've tried any procedure on the console besides messing with the sound settings, however try the procedure below.

Xbox One reset keeping Games:

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > Settings > System > Console Information

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.

Rest assured, you won't miss games or saves

Note: You need to know the email and passwords of your accounts when performing this reset.

It may be the software on the Xbox.It could also be internally something is missing or out of place. Try to install the games to you hard drive.
