    Having a lot of networking issues for Xbox Live on PC


    Trying to play Sea of Thieves with some friends and I either can't connect or when I do connect I get disconnected. My internet connection is fine, restarted my game and computer, restarted my internet. I don't know what to do. The error report I keep getting on SoT is Obsidianbeard and Granitebeard. Please help!

    Hope you're doing great today despite this Michael

    Additional information is needed, please tell me:
    Is this happening only with Sea of thieves?
    Are you using windows 10 or 11?
    What's your NAT type?
    For this download the Xbox console companion app (it's different from the Xbox PC app)
    Once opened go to settings > network > underneath NAT type
    And, what did you tried so far to fix this
    In that way I can advise you different things or how to proceed

    go to the windows store and get the xbox one app...that should get your pc connected ....get xbox live gold and the xbox store has lots of free games and demos and such....booted off your router might mean network issues....xbox one has issues with certain
    routers....list your network equipment (modem and router , brand and model #'s ) and if you are wired or wireless...

    I'm having the same issue too. I used to be able to stream games on my PC, but now the xbox app on Win 10 doesn't even recognize the xbox one on my network. I checked that everything is on the same network and made sure that streaming is turned on in the
    xbox settings.

    This seems to be a widespread issue because I've seen it posted in reddit too. Since this is the official xbox forum, can Microsoft please look into this issue? Game streaming to PC is one of the touted features, but it doesn't work for a lot of people...not

    I can't turn on party chat

    I have seen this issue quite a bit :/ I know a lot of people have an open NAT, but which ports do you have opened? The Xbox Team recommends opening certain ports for optimal connection. The following link will give you everything you need to do to open these
    ports :
    support.xbox.com/.../network-ports-used-xbox-live     . Hopefully, opening these ports will correct your party issues.
