Have purchased Minecraft - issues installing on PC (stuck at 0%)

I have restarted my device, but not rebooted my router, so will give that a try.

I purchased the game via Microsoft. When I check out that link in diverts me to install the Launcher in the Microsoft store. However it is not letting me install from there - indicating it is already "owned" but not showing up in my list of Apps.

You're welcome! Actually I tried to download Minecraft on my end via Microsoft store and the launchers seems to work on my end.

Could be your internet as well or an anti-virus preventing the download, I suggest to turn off your anti-virus software during the installation but don't forget to turn it back on. For the internet, just restart your router before you attempt the download.

With regards to the problem, may I ask if you have tried to restart your device before attempting to install the game? Also, restarting your Wi-Fi router may do the trick as well.

In addition to that, is this where you tried downloading the Minecraft launcher https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/download this is for the official Minecraft page where you can get the launcher for the game and download either Java or Bedrock edition depending on what license you have purchased.

When you open the Minecraft Launcher, you should see both "Minecraft: Java Edition" and "Minecraft for Windows" in the left sidebar. To install either version, just click it in the sidebar and hit the big green "Install" button. In both cases, the launcher should default to installing the latest version of the game, no matter which Minecraft update has been released recently.

I have tried all 3 options above but still an issue.

For me, the installation is stuck on 0% and I can’t cancel or pause it, nor can I update anything else. I can’t uninstall Minecraft either. Also, in storage setting, it states there is 0 saved data for Minecraft, I’m not sure if this is an issue. I have years of progress I don’t want to lose.

Is there anything else to try?
