    Hey bails360,

    Unfortunately you would have needed to purchase Xbox Live Gold through the promotion on your Xbox dashboard with a credit card attached to your account to qualify. Pre-paid codes do not qualify for this specific promotion.

    What about apologising for not mentioning that ANYWHERE in the promotional advert??? I checked and re-checked and there was no mention of pre-purchased cards being invalid.

    In fact, I clicked through the advert and the very next screen asked me if I wanted to pay using a credit/debit card, or whether I wanted to use a pre-paid voucher.

    I only purchased Live at that time as a direct response to the advert. I would have been waiting until after Christmas, as I'd originally intended. I feel cheated! It's false advertising and has left me extremely dissatisfied with Microsoft's conduct in
    this matter.

    I'm having this issue as well. Purchased my Xbox live 12 months yesterday (20/01/16) and I did purchase it through the promotion page and did not receive a code. Should be noted that I purchased it via a pre-paid code yet no where in the promotion does it
    say I have to purchase it through you guys it just said must be activated through this promotion window which I did activate the code through the promotion window, so a bit of false advertising on your part if you do not grant those that input their codes
    through that screen. Why would there be an option for input code through that promotion window anyway if you weren't able to use it for the promotion? Seems a bit dissapointing and should be granted to those that used pre paid codes it's the only reason I
    purchased a code in the first place!

    @Mister Maka, didn't really need the same PR response that you are giving everyone, what me and Bails360 are saying is that within the promotion terms and conditions all it said was it had to be utilised within the screen and there was an option WITHIN the
    promotion screen to use a promo code. So this was false advertising and I think all those who did it deserve a code and the terms and conditions should be updated. If you weren't allowed to use a code, how hard is it to program that option out of the promo
    window??? Like I said I had no reason to get gold as I had a 14 day trial that came with my xbox, I bought a code to solely to receive the game. Disappointed to not only have zero understanding from your staff, but to also be given the same robot like response.
    Talk about unsatisfactory conduct of paying customers....

    Yes. I did indeed purchase my Live Gold directly through the promotion.

    It wad the main reason I purchased the 1-year Gold sub at that particular time.

    Hopefully you don't mind me piggybacking off this thread but I also didn't receive my code for Ryse: Legendary Edition. I purchased my Xbox Live Gold membership off the dashboard on 9/22/2015.
