I'm going to brace you before the official response because I have had problems about the One S upgrade as well; you will not be eligible for the 50K points unless you already had an Xbox One and purchased another Xbox One S. Best of luck on the rest.

I am also waiting on my 50k points for my One S purchase and both of my previous posts about this subject cannot be found anywhere on the forums.

Xbox1 will not do anything as far as letting you watch satellite. You need a coax cable to it's own LAN on the dish on one end and a receiver hooked to your tv on the other to watch satellite. If you have that setup, you can then add xbox1 between the receiver
and the tv, but you'll still have to change channels on the receiver as X1 will only be able to display the channel the receiver is on.

So, in short X1's tv capabilities are worthless if you have satellite. Ditto if you have cable that requires a cable box. It will only worked as shown on the reveal if you have air reception or a basic cable (no cable box) signal. My guess is what MS really
did this for was to try and sell subscriptions to some over the internet tv service where their box will act as the receiver for that streaming tv service.
