Have not been able to sign into Xbox app on Android for months - help!

It didn't even occur to me to check the Xbox Console setting.

Two changes I made. For one, I found my console had dropped the Home Xbox setting so I reset that this Xbox was my Home Xbox.

Next setting I changed was Settings > Preferences > Xbox App Connectivity, and changed the setting from Allow any connections from any device, to "Only from profiles signed in on this Xbox".

I'm assuming with being on Alpha Skip Ahead insiders program it caused some conflict after an update and inadvertently caused the connectivity issue?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble logging into your Xbox App from your Android device. I recommend you try changing your password make sure its more than 6 characters but less than 16
characters. Can you try signing in on a different android device possibly a friend or family members phone? Give it a try and let us know with a reply how it goes.

I've continually had issues with signing onto my Xbox app using my Samsung S9 Android phone. This has been going on for months.

(I am on the Alpha skip ahead insider program as a matter of disclosure - although all of my other xbox apps on Win10 and Surface work fine)

I keep receiving "Sorry, something went wrong. Give it another try, or try on Xbox.com"

• I've been successful at signing into xbox.com using my android phone.
• I've attempted to clear the cache and reset the app with no success.
• Attempted to use my xbox account and using Authenticator to signin rather than password.
• Uninstalled the Xbox app, power recycled the phone and reinstalled app - same issue.
• Tried to use the Xbox app and the Xbox Beta app both having the same issue.
• Checked permissions for the app to have access and selected all 4 standard options.
• None of my other Office applications have a logging in issue on my phone
• I've pretty well exhausted every option that I can think of and I've only had my Android phone for nearly a year, (used to be on Windows Phone).

If there is any other suggestions, ideas on how to finally get this Xbox app working on my phone I'd appreciate it.

When you view the app through the setting section on your console do you get the option "clear data" and "clear cache" if you do have both of these options available it may be worth selecting of them both and then see what happens the next time you try
to open the app.
