Have bought Game Pass Ultimate as gift, but recipient not had it given

In both cases two things can happen.

The first is, between 24 and 72 hours if the purchase is not completed and does not appear in your Purchase History, the system will automatically refund the amount charged to your credit card.

No since it was cancelled and upgraded to Ultimate. So you would have been given the remaining time from your standard Game Pass as Ultimate in addition to the Ultimate you purchased. Since your Gold was cancelled in order to convert it, cancelling Game Pass Ultimate cancels everything. In those cases, you want to just turn off auto-renewal. That allows you to keep the full subscription time you paid for without charging you again.

It was within 10 minutes of my request. But I bought it as a gift also and it seems they have this policy.



Returns and Refunds. Gifts may be canceled and refunded to the Gift purchaser up to 14 days after the purchase or until redeemed by the Gift recipient, whichever occurs first. Now the gift was 'redeemed by the gift recipient' but obviously she cant play it because she doesnt have the base game and now there is no way to request a refund. So that kind o' sucks but hey I did get my refund and she has Xbox One so we can purchase the base game and all will be ok.
