currently have Xbox One 1st Gen White its been a good console for about 4 years purchased brand new and recently while using it for netflix, youtube and call of duty over the pass few days has been giving me what I assume is a error code? It will randomly
ding like someone is powering on and off the console 3 times. I been in the market to buy a new console but was hoping this is just a software thing ?

Faulty Battery or Battery Repair

Dear Xbox,

My battery for the 1st generation Xbox One is either faulty or needs repair. I can't tell because every time I plug in the battery the white stripe all of a sudden stays on orange. May I have some assistance or feedback on how the get my Xbox One To work
once again?

 

xbox one keeps dinging

Ive noticed within the past few days my One keeps doing a ding type sound and even during gameplay it dings and then spits out the game cd. has anyone had this happen and what should i do to fix it.

 

try to powercycle your console, if that doesn't fix it you may want to contact support.

 

Restart or Power Cycle Xbox One Console

 

Kudos for finding an original sku in white. I was never able to locate one.

 

The power and eject button on the original model are touch capacitive. Have you cleaned the front of the console recently? Usually built up static or dust can cause that to happen.

 

Could be a number of things. I would recommend a full power cycle first, if it still continues however I would recommend reaching out to MS Support to setup a repair ticket.
