Has the "compatibility check" for system requirements been removed in Xbox Windows app?

Hello, in recent updates, I no longer see information that "this game should run on your PC" on any game. Has the feature been removed?

I recently upgraded to an INtel Arc A580 gpu (I had an older AMD before; RX6400). Is this perhaps why?

    Thanks!

    :)

You would need to check the feature set of the Intel against the system requirements.

Hello, welcome to the Xbox Community! This is a place where you can connect with other players, get help, and share your gaming adventures.

Are you referring to the performance check? If so, I can still see it. It works in some games, but not in others. I’ve attached a screenshot.

    XBOX APP ON GT 610

    Hi,

The Xbox app has it's minimum hardware and software requirements. Game DVR on Windows 10 supports GeForce GT 610 which means this is compatible with the Xbox app.

    Refer to
Hardware requirements for Game DVR on Windows 10
for your reference. The specifications listed on that page are the same with the Xbox app's requirements.

Let us know if you have other inquiries.

Games for Windows Live (or whatever) freezes up my game when I log in.

    Hello!

Microsoft dropped support for the Games for Windows Live service long ago, when Windows 7 was still their most recent operative system. The application has severe compatibility issues with Windows 10, that is why your "Frankenstein" solution was required.
There really is no other way around that. Some developers released updates to remove the GFWL integration from their games, making them perfectly playable and compatible, but with games that didn't receive such patches, that workaround is required.

Unable to run Quake Champions on PC from Xbox App store

Thank you for contact us! I'm Anderson, an Independent Consultant and a Microsoft user like you.

    good evening

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble running Quake Champions on your PC. Based on the error message you're seeing, it sounds like the game may be trying to run as a 16-bit application, which is not compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows.

One thing you could try is to run the game in compatibility mode for an earlier version of Windows, such as Windows 7 or Windows 8. To do this, right-click on the Quake Champions shortcut or executable file, select Properties, then click on the Compatibility tab. From there, you can select an earlier version of Windows to run the game in compatibility mode.

If that doesn't work, it's possible that there may be an issue with the version of the game you downloaded from the Xbox App Store. You could try contacting the game's support team or the Xbox App Store support team for assistance.

Another thing to check is if your computer meets the minimum system requirements for the game. Quake Champions has relatively high requirements, so if your computer doesn't meet those requirements, you may have difficulty running the game. You can find the minimum system requirements on the game's Xbox App Store page or on Bethesda's website.
