    I actually rang Xbox and spoke to someone and was told to do a network test and every time i was asked to try and connect to Xbox Live, everything worked perfect... except the Live Status (that always came up with an error message) I was told because of
    the Caronavirus lockdown that Xbox servers were experiencing problems and overloads etc. and as long as that error message was still present, then this problem of games stopping downloading at 80% (even though the exact same thing with Xbox Originals has happened
    before a couple of times in the past on 360's) would continue.



    Well this screenshot is literally from just now and you can see everything says it's working fine now and for atleast a week (maybe 2) it's been saying everything is fine... but still every time i try to download certain Xbox Originals on my 360, i still
    get the "Can't download game" message come up when it hits exactly 80% downloaded. Any updates yet on when it will be fixed Xbox?

    I don't know if this will work for original Xbox games, but I was having this same type of issue for Xbox 360 games. The download would reset to 0% when it reached 80% and endlessly loop like this. I found a solution that works for me every time. Download
    the game in the background when your console is off.

    STEPS:

    1. Enable "background downloads" in the system settings.

    (System -> Console Settings -> Startup and Shutdown -> Background Downloads -> Enable)

    2. Start the download for the game(s) you are having issues with.

    3. Power off the console.

    4. Wait for the power indicator to stop pulsing.

    5. Power on the console and check if the game(s) finished downloading.

    (System -> Storage -> Install Location -> Games and Apps -> Game Title)

    I've successfully downloaded 3 games with this solution. I recently downloaded Rainbow Six Vegas with this method because it is a part of this week's Deals with Gold.

    Yes i have enough space... and i've cleared my cache many times (i know all the steps to do) The issue is on Xbox's end, that i know for sure, just wondering if there has been any progress made on fixing this because (as i said) if you google it you'll
    see this exact same issue has come up before in the past more than once?

    Doesn’t seem like its been fixed. I’ve been having this same issue this whole week. Last night I though I was closer as one of the games downloaded to 99% but as usual, it went back to 0%. I’ve tried every step on those list on support instructed to do.
    But nothing. Tonight I can’t even get the game to download past 5% as I get the “can’t download” message. This is frustrating as these are games that I purchased.
