Has the Astral Purple color used for Xbox one controllers been changed?

if you take a image that is very dark and light like black and white and you let the lighter line go along the app pins, it will change the color some.

That show I made my purple one a mix of dark and light purple and some blue.

When I then snap the app list it will have rainbow purple colors

It has nothing to do with high contrast. After the update, the purple option in the My Colors section in the settings has actually changed from the dark purple I prefer to the light purple that I have been seeing all month long. This indicates that it was
Microsoft's doing, whether intentional or not is the question. I only say this, because the the tiles still go back and forth between light and dark two weeks after the new dashboard update.

I wish Microsoft would have have just added the "new" shades in My Color as new colors entirely instead of being stuck in between the two shades. It would be nice to hear some official word from Microsoft about the issue instead of speculating why this is
happening and a reason for the change (if the changes in shade are an intentional change by Microsoft).

I keep my color the main purple and the secondary pink....since the beginning, unless have to change my colors for a clan thing which I change them back afterwards... so yeah I usually am purple and gold... In fact I have changed the armor in like 3 or 4
months...

Pretty much. Orchid/silver. I really like the purple color so why change it?
