Has Microsoft finally fixed the friend online status notifications?

Thank you so much for clarifying there are multiple reports in regard to the same issue, however, there are no official announcements yet from Microsoft which means that we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

Kindly try turning off or blocking the specific notification and then turn it back on.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

Just a friendly reminder though that the issue earlier is different. According to Xbox Support:

"We are aware that some users are experiencing issues with seeing their Friends' online status or joining Party chats. Our engineers are investigating"

This is related to their status such as if they're online, they're not showing as "online".

Are you pertaining to the notification when a favorite friend go online?

Made a post on here and have reached out to support on twitter. Microsoft knows people are having issues and are supposedly looking into it, but haven’t communicated about any updates coming to their support team from what I’ve seen. EDIT: as of 8:30pm central friends list went down. They did update the status page that they are working on it, and notifications are apart of that alert. Maybe when they get this resolved it will finally fix the notification issue we’ve all had.

apparently there a few problem in the server Microsoft staff is working on the fix off this problem

There is no longer a service alert. That has been fixed.
