Has completely leaving the program ever fixed an issue for you?

For a few months now I’ve been having a handful of games consistently produce the error “took too long to start”. I’ve done everything I can think of troubleshooting wise to resolve this issue with no success.

I’ve done all of the following: -uninstall/reinstall the game -save the games on the internal HDD -save the games on an external HDD -cleared local saved games -left Xbox Update Preview Alpha and went all the way down to Omega -numerous console restarts -shutdown and removed power source for 30 seconds

I’m sure I’m forgetting a few steps but I feel like I’ve done everything I possibly could. The only thing left is to completely leave the program and get on whatever update the normal user has. I do enjoy the program and would like to avoid leaving if possible, but has this resolved anyone’s issue in the past?

Been having this issue as well since the new guide update. I was a beta insider when i started having this issue then I had to leave Insider program to completely stop from this issue. Now the public build also has this issue with no fix insight.

I honestly have no idea what to do at this point. Xbox is the only device having 5-10 seconds lag spikes in EVERY multiplayer game.

I'm just gonna leave the alpha program. Can't wait for an update to play games I've paid for...

I have been told by XB Support, Leaving the program will not fix the issue of not being able to login. You will still have to wait for the next update, you will just be out of the preview program.

It will not revert your console back to a "public" version/build. But if you or anyone else knows of a quick fix please share.

Much the same form as with Windows Phone and various other platforms they have neglected, failed to update, failed to communicate status on and then months or years later simply deleted with little explanation.

There has been a pattern where they simply fail to clearly communicate their intentions and leave consumers completely guessing their direction.

It's terrible form and for such a large company to completely ignore hundreds of customers and just stay silent or in some cases lie, it's simply reprehensible. Do any of us really think they were ever fixing this issue?

Yep. As a last resort I did a repair install of Windows 10, keeping my programs and files in place. It fixed the issue completely. I wish I had considered it sooner. It's still a pretty intensive process, but I wasted way more time with all the other attempts.

known issue with the Xbox One Preview Program. It sounds like you, or someone that shares your Xbox One with you, is a member of the Preview Program and has enrolled your console. You will want to have the person who is a part of the preview program leave
feedback via the console app (hold down the Xbox button and use the "Report a problem" box on the right) and then log into the Preview Program forums above to leave further feedback.
