    Has anyone on PC got the voice chat to remain in your headset while using Xbox Live party chat?


    With some fiddling I was able to remove the game audio from my headset only and setup my mic.

    I am using a Windows 10 PC and the Xbox 360 controller for windows and the headset plugged in there. I am able to speak but can only hear my party through the speakers that are also playing the Gears of War 4 audio so it isn't ideal.

    Can't use party chat?

    Hey everyone.

    I invited a friend to party chat (both using Xbox ones) I selected turn on Party chat, when my friend joined he turned on party chat and he got this error "can't turn on chat right now try again later" I turned party chat off, he turns his party chat on,
    I then go to turn mine on and I get that error too.

    I have chatted to live support online and they said it was the headset? I can't see this being right. we are both using the headset with the xbox one, the headset works fine when you are in a party on your own.

    I feel you guys have tried to make party chat over complicated and theirs no need for the whole turn party chat on or off.

    Has anyone else had this issue? and have you found a fix?

    Question about turtle beaches headset i got.

    I have a hauppuage pvr 2 and i got some trutle beach headset they are xc1. I am trying to do game commentary on xbox while my game, i can hear others people voice in game chat of while we are in the party, but i cannot hear my voice while i am recording
    can anyone tell me on how to solve this problem so i can hear my voice while i am recording? What do i need for my headset to make it happen thanks.

    Why only party chat can go through TV speakers?

    Not game audio, game chat.

    In settings, Xbox has an option to make party chat output go through your headset, headset and TV, or TV.

    but that's only for party chat. i've always wondered why xbox can't do the same for in-game chat too?

    With in game chat, if your headset is plugged in; game chat automatically goes to the headset, with no option to have it output through TV.

    really sucks when you can't wear headsets, you can't play socially outside of parties. (in party chat; i use my headset mic, but have their voice output through my TV. game chat has no option to do this, you must wear your headset to hear teammates)

    Being in party chat means you have to compromise on game volume?

    G'day GrumDog! Are you using your Astro headset to chat as well as listen, or is your Kinect sensor in use for voice chat? Can you try a party chat without the headset (or with the official Xbox headset) to see if the volume changes as drastically?

    Try this:

    Check the Kinect microphone setting

    If you’re using the microphone in the Kinect sensor for chat, make sure no headsets are connected to your console (wired or wireless). Then, make sure the chat microphone on the Kinect sensor is on.

    To turn on the Kinect chat microphone:

    Sign into Xbox LIVE.

    Press the Guide button on your controller.

    Select Chat & IM.

    Make sure the Kinect microphone is set to On.
