    Has anyone noticed generally worse dashboard performance?


    Since these last few skip ahead updates the dashboard and guide (specifically when playing games) has been performing much worse than normal. Just wanted to make sure I’m not the only one

    Yes, this is correct. It is due in part to the new Anti-Piracy Format on the Disc itself and "how" the Xbox 360 reads the Disc.

    I'm sorry for those of you who did not participate in the Preview program but this what brought up many times.

    Yeah I found that out after installing, deleting and re-installing all three of Rage's discs- about three times lol.

    So, that initial spinning is new anti-piracy measures?

    Yes, many people have noticed it. It is due to the New Anti-Piracy Format of the Disc. It's normal behavior for the Xbox 360 with any new Disc with this Format. It should not continue to spin though, if it does try Deleting the
    Game and Installing it again.

    Short story, spins for a minute or so equals "normal". Continues to spin long after (2 minutes and up), it is not "normal".
