    Has anyone got an endless "Its time to Update?" on their Xbox? Xbox One X here


    It appears that my Xbox One X is unusable now since an update just recently came to my xbox. It kept telling me there is a 651MB update for my xbox, but would continuously fail with an error code of 0xE0E8000F 0x00000000 0x90050005

    I have chatted with xbox gamer "experts" and we started by doing a reset on the xbox and keeping my data in tact.

    After reloading it back, the same update issue happened.

    So I downloaded the offline system update OSU1 to a USB and applied it using the troubleshooter and it took it with no issue (downloaded, applied, restarted the xbox once, and finished the update)

    After it completely loaded back up it prompted, "Its time to update" and its the same problem. 651mb update that WILL NOT TAKE

    So next it was suggested that I go to another network and try there. (I have already rebooted my router/modem, updated firmware on router, same issue)

    So I plugged it directly into the modem, it failed twice. Then the Third time it ACTUALLY DOWNLOADED THE UPDATE Hallelujah!

    So then it was applying the update, went to 100% and the text read that the xbox will restart automatically.

    The xbox restarted, but not how it was supposed to, it actually basically fully rebooted it so that I would see the xbox one x splash screen, (NOT the continuation and finalization of the update). then it would load and say "Its time to update" same 651mb update

    I have done this 5 times with the hopes that after it restarts, it will actually take the update. It never did.

    So I am at a loss. Some update that was pushed to my device has basically made it un-usable, And I cannot even talk to an xbox support rep. I keep being referred to talk to an "Expert Gamer" which led me to being told "You have to send it in for a repair" which is not under warranty and will cost you $250

    I am beyond frustrated and would like to know how the heck something like this could happen?

    Xbox 1x taking too long to power down since recent dashboard update

    I got this problem, from 2 months ago. Its not a everyday problem. Its like 1 time in a week. Something 1 time in 2 weeks. I guess its finishing some download, install or not forcing a shutdown but it take his time. Its only for 10 to max 20 minutes here.

    After a hard reset and factory reset itd the same thing. The only thing has changed it that the Xbox one x. Here make time to time less to much more noise. (And its clean in the in size. I clean the xbox one x every 2 weeks with dust blower.) But the xbox
    one x performance is still great.

    seems like the xbox x has a lot of problems, i've got a normal xbox one, and i don't have any of the same issues that xbox one x owners have, it could be it just needs an update.

    UPDATE:

    So i contacted the retailer where i bought the xbox one X and the were able to help me with the process regarding the microsoft support and sending my xbox one x back to microsoft. So i got the message today that the xbox is on its way to microsoft to get
    it checked. I will update this question on the forum when i got an answer from microsoft what it might could be what is wrong with my xbox
