    Has anyone ever managed to unlink an EA account from Xbox Ultimate if EA won't help?


    I've got an issue that my old EA Origin account is on an email address I no longer have. Xbox Ultimate pass linked itself to this account. It looks like the Microsoft side says go to EA to unlink the account. EA won't unlink it as I can't verify the details (I used masked DoB etc and of course I can't send myself a reset email).

    In the end I just want to unlink the EA account so I can set up another. It seems the EA app is very flakey either locking up, asking for me to log in via my Xbox account (then failing) or sometimes it just logs in with no verification.

    Was wondering if anyone has ever solved this? Looking on the EA forums, plenty of others have the same issue and EA won't help them.

    I didn't know if it was possible for MS support to unlink the accounts?

    Hello Catpuss, unfortunately it is not possible to unlink the accounts without verifying the accounts, in this type of case even Xbox Support cannot help you.

    And that is the crux of it. I can verify my xbox account that it's linked to by not the EA account, so I. Effect my Xbox account. Is held to random by EA.

    I guess it sounds like my only answer is to close down my Xbox ultimate account?

    there is no way to unlink, only via EA, the link is on EA servers and Microsoft have no access and cannot do anything.

    I don't know what os.stacked time is to be honest.

    It's just really annoying that EA have rather poor customer service. I can't prove it's my account, it's linked to my MS account but EA they won't unlink it on the basis that I can't prove it's my account, which kind of also means from their perspective it's a rogue account linked to my MS account.

    Bit of a catch 22 state of play.
