Has anyone else's XBOX Elite Controller Series 2 not working?

I have a Xbox series x and about a month ago, my Xbox elite controller series 2 is no longer configurable. I can no longer access the custom settings I made for various games and when I try to configure, I get an error message stating "something went wrong. There's a problem with our connection to the controller. Disconnect, reconnect and try again".

I have tried all the troubleshooting options but so far nothing has helped.

Is Xbox aware of this? Will there be a future update/patch to address this issue?

Or has anyone had this issue and somehow was able to fix it?

Has anyone noticed any hardware revisions lately to the Elite Controller Series 2?

Please, do a power cycle on the controller:

Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds until the controller turns off.

Wait a few seconds, and then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.

Then test it again.

The Elite Series 2 controller has a 1 year warranty.

If your controller isn’t working and needs replacing, go to https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/controller/controller-warranty and
enter the controller’s serial number at the bottom of that page. For the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2, the 14-character serial number is in the lower centre on the back of the controller.

Thanks for the reply. The Elite controller series 2 has various methods of mapping the buttons and paddles as compared to the series 1. If you haven't done so already, I recommend taking a look at the following support articles that
can assist you in determining how to set up the different functions, including how to use Shift with the controller to give you alternate inputs:
