We apologize for your bad experience, you mentioned that you think it may be a problem with the previous profile so I ask you if you have tried using another one to verify if the problem persists. In case it persists, and your console still has warranty, you can request a refund or in given its repair for free.

It hasn't happened to me on my Xbox console but with the intention of helping you with something I did some searches in the community forum and I found that apparently this is a very common problem and even though many people have recommended various solutions none of them seem to work, so this problem should be fixed by Microsoft directly.
