Hardware fix for motherboard and DVD drive

My Xbox one is out of warranty. My CD/DVD drive would not open. So, I got a new one. Installed it. But found out my son threw out the green computer board attached to the drive. Now I can't use my Xbox because I understand that the motherboard and this
lost drive board were linked. Is there a way to replace that board and link them up? How can I rectify this? Thanks

if the warranty is expired you can have the dvd drive replaced by a 3rd party reapir service. just make sure the repairperson is knowledgeable and knows they need to have the drive paired with the motherboard. replacing the whole console is not necessary
if the dvd drive is the problem. it's not illegal or against the terms of service to get your own stuff fixed by someone other than microsoft.

No because the dust will just go back inside the system and can damage the motherboard or DVD drive.

@THEOWENKILLER - No. You will not get banned if you reapir Xbox's yourself. You see, microsoft
can't see what you did to the
HARDWARE. They can only see if you tampered with software ( Flashing the DVD-drive , JTAG , Modding.
) I've repaired around 10 Xbox's from my friends and they're all still online and they haven't had any issues ever since. ( offcourse i did it for free , and they were out of warranty. ) Microsoft only bans you for tampering with SOFTWARE. They cannot trace
it if you've replaced a piece of hardware ( except for the dvd-drive , which is coded and the motherboard is coded too so the drive will only work with ONE motherboard )

Just to add my experience with the Microsoft repair centre, my console has been fixed twice, and both times I got my own console back, and they replaced the motherboard and dvd drive (so basically everything)
