Hard Reset made NAT type unavailable

Hi there,

I recently bought a new Xbox One S and everything worked fine including my NAT type which was open.

I noticed a problem where my controller wasn’t turning on or off my console so I saw to make it happen I should Hard Reset my Xbox and so I did.

After doing so and trying to connect to my friends’ party, I check my Network Settings and it shows my NAT type is now unavailable. I don’t know how this happens and it seems to be something wrong with my Xbox. It worked fine like I said as I could join
parties before with no problem, but after this Hard Reset, I cant’t anymore.

NAT Type

My NAT type is not working, I just got a new modem from Comcast, and now the NAT type is unavailable. Any suggestions?

Have you tried to hard reset the console? Another option would be is to factory reset the modem; if you have rebooted it already.

 

Try restarting your router (note, this will disconnect your internet for a minute or two), then hard reset your console and let us know what happens.

Sorry to hear you're dealing with this peculiar problem.

It's something I have seen myself and I believe that if you try some of our steps in our guide entitled "I can't hear my friends online, or I can't
join or host a multiplayer game with my Xbox One should help you out.
