Hard Copy & Digital Copy clashing trouble

Originally, I had pre-ordered Mortal Kombat X digitally through the XBL store. I chose this method because the nearest store I would be able to purchase a hard copy from is an hour and 1/2 drive away. After beginning the download, I realized that it would
take days to complete thanks to my amazing DL speed
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4289447600. I decided it would just be best to make a trip and buy an actual hard copy of the game in order to save myself time and just to have a backup disc. Now to the problem...

I have installed the disc in offline mode, however, there is a 2.4 gig update required to be able to play online. When I accept the update and go online, it begins downloading the full digital version of the game as well which is not what I want to happen
at this point in time. Is there any way to prevent the digital version of the game from downloading? Thanks in advance.

And if you want to talk disparity not seen then chew on this. dying light digital £54.99 hard copy £44.99. Shadow of mordor digital £54.99 hard copy £44.99. GTA V digital £54.99 hard copy £44.99. Advanced warefare digital £54.99 hard copy £44.99. All these
hard copy prices in the uk were i live are the same at Game,Granger,Tesco,asda, anywere really were a hard copy can be bought, Thats at least 20% difference unless my math is wrong.

Wait, you think you're also getting a hard copy for buying the digital version?! You don't. You either get the digital version
or the hard copy version, not both. There's no Ultimate Edition in hard copy; there's only the standard version or the Deluxe Edition.

You could go into the Microsoft support chat and request a refund for the digital copy since you purchased a hard copy. I actually did the same thing today after realizing I had purchased the game twice.

You're sure its downloading the digital copy rather than the update though? On the queue screen the two will look identical, both saying "installing" and generally taking forever. If it is showing up twice, you can click it from your queue menu and rearrange
what order they're downloading in, so you can make sure the update is downloading rather than the full digital copy.

No, you can't exchange hard copy to digital. Best way to sell the game to someone and then bought digital copy by web on xbox.com.
