Handsome Edition Games With Gold Not Working

I had downloaded the Handsome Edition which was available for Games with Gold in October, on the 29th. I just got back to my Xbox, and now it says I need to pay for it. My gold membership is still on, and it renews on the 7th. How can I access my games?

Borderlands 2

Well, Borderlands 2 is not backwards compatible. So to play it on Xbox One you'd need the Handsome Edition of the game.

Downloaded Games Not Working

Hi there. I wanted to inform of a recent issue I had been facing. I had gold and downloaded sleeping dogs last month. I normally play offline. After my one month of gold the game failed to load. I contacted Microsoft and after multiple checks they informed
that game servers would be down. I deleted the game and reinstalled it and still had same issue. Now when I bought one month of gold again it started working. Turns out it only works if I have xbox gold. I wanted to ask why is that since when I download the
game I should be able to play it regardless of gold account.

Also not only that I downloaded borderlands handsome collection and now it's not working. It's giving me an error that I don't own the game. dogs only work if I have gold.

The game was only free to play as part of an event over the weekend. You would need to purchase the game if you want to continue playing it.

The games for gold edition is the Xbox360 version that you can play on the One.

The Handsome Collection is remastered solely for the One. You can transfer your saved data from 360 to the One using the Cloud but the two cannot connect to each other for multiplayer even though everyone is playing on the One; they're basically two different types of the same game.

Yes. It's a free gold weekend through the 30th. You can also play Borderlands:The Handsome Collection for free this weekend.

Yes, many gamers may experience problems with playing games on game pass, but this issue is for the 360 version, which was given out for free for gold members in the past or otherwise purchased. The Xbox one version of the game, bundled with The Handsome
Collection, is on game pass.
