Halo Wars Definive Edition Not Downloading with Xbox Game Pass For PC.

Halo Wars Definitive Edition is listed as one of the games within Game Pass for PC but cannot be downloaded through the Microsoft Store as it is listed as a Game Pass Console only game but it can be installed through the Xbox (beta) App.

But when i try to download it it always fails after the "acquiring license" part of the download as just displays "error" with the Code: 0x803F8001.

Is their any solution to this problem?

I have tried restarting my PC, restarting my internet, I have used the "wsreset" command, updating my PC and the Xbox (beta) app to the latest versions, and Ive been unable to fix the problem.

Currently if you downloaded this game from Game Pass then it is listed as Halo Wars: Definitive Edition (PC). This game supports Xbox Play Anywhere that is the reason it is listed
as that on the achievement screen.

That code seems to indicate an issue with owning the license for the game. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/errors/error-code-0x803F8001

Obviously in this case your getting it through Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass PC. With the Xbox (beta) app still being in beta I'm not to surprised that its using the error codes for consoles.

To help troubleshoot your problem, did you attempt to download this game after just recently signing up for GPU or GP-PC? If so, have you tried again recently to see if it was just a timing issue?

If you're still having issues, you might try signing out of your xbox account on the PC and signing back in. This should force it to check back in with the xbox servers and update your information.

Lastly, if all else fails you might try uninstalling the Xbox (beta) app and reinstalling it. Also, please use the in app feedback feature that can be found by click on your gamer picture in the Xbox (beta) app and selecting "feedback". Let them know basically
everything you've shared here so that it can be addressed by the devs.

I have the same problem on 2 different pc's. Every other game works fine and i can download it just fine.

halo wars 2 ultimate edition includes Halo wars DE. You should be able to find and download the game under ready to install on my games and apps on your xbox one!

On PC check the Halo app or the Download and install page on the store!

When I go to the link youve provided, it says i do not own the game. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/h...tion/bprpqskxtd1l#activetab=pivot:overviewtab

this is the one i purchased for xbox, but since its play anywhere i can use it on PC. Just curious as to why this one says PC in my list when games like super lucky tale and subnautica do not.

i never downloaded the game via game pass either so i dont think that would effect it?
