To clarify, on this promotion you would have needed to pre-order/purchase Halo Wars 2: Ultimate Edition by February 17, 2017. Eligible users would then receive codes within 7 to 10 days of the pre-order. Depending on where and how you pre-ordered though,
the process for getting Halo Wars: Definitive Edition could vary. Could you please let us know where you pre-ordered the game and how?

Okay, so you are telling me I had to Pre-order the game? I bought the game on Gamestop.com and got a digital code on 3/8/17. But the problem is that NO WHERE does it state that I have to Pre-order the game to get the code or else I would have never bought
the Ultimate Edition which is False Advertisement. here is what the Site says. Along with that when I looked at the game on the Microsoft App Store it shows that Halo Wars Definitve Edition, Halo Wars 2 and the Season Pass are included. This needs to be changed! So
based on circumstances; I am I feel eligible to the first game due to how it was handled and no one has told Gamestop etc to change their pages etc.

The forums also state to get EARLY ACCESS to the game you need to pre-order. But the FAQ still say that it's available through the Ultimate Edition and not a "Pre-Order" Promotion.

If you purchased a physical copy from EB Games, your game code will not be sent over Xbox Live messages, and instead will be included inside the box as long as the retailer is participating in the promotion.
