Halo Wars 2 Ultimate - can´t download HW DE on Windows 10

A while ago i bought the Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition with play anywhere. On my Xbox One everything works fine, but i´m not able to download Halo Wars 1 DE on my Windows 10 PC. (newest Windows update is installed and hardware specs are well above what is
needed).

I talked to the Xbox support hotline a few times now, but they couldn´t help me.

First I tried uninstall all xbox components on the PC. Then they told me i have to wait for at least 7 days until I get the additional Code. Now, nearly a month after buying the game, I talked to the hotline again, but they where not able to send me a new
code.

I think play anywhere will be a great feature when it works, but right now it´s just frustrating because it seems nobody knows why certain things don´t work.

Has anybody an idea how to get HW DE to work on a Windows 10 PC?

I pre-ordered Halo Wars 2 Ultimate Edition on January 1st, and still have not received the code for HW DE.

Any help?

I purchased a digital copy of the halo wars 2 ultimate edition from Walmart. Everything downloaded except halo wars de. What do I need to do to activate it? HWDE showed up on my download que initially but disappeared after HW 2 finished downloading.

If you see Halo Wars: Definitive Edition in your game library within the Windows Store, that indicates you already own it and a code is not needed. Are you able to try downloading the game through the 'Halo app' on Windows 10? Click the controller icon within
the Halo app and let us know if you can install the game through there. Additionally, do any specific errors pop up if you try to download the game directly from its store listing on the Windows Store?

In my Windows game library i can only see the Xbox version of the game. When I search for the Windows version it´s only possible to buy it, not download the game. It´s the same in the Halo app (only a buy button, when clicking it i am redirected to the PC
version of the game in the Windows store where i can only buy the game).

The interesting thing is, that on the Xbox one everything is working fine. On the PC i can download Halo Wars 2, but not HW DE.

It looks like i own the game now, but there is still a problem. When i try to download it, during the part where it says: "acquiring license" there is an error (Code: 0x87E105DC). I tried it with the store and the Halo app for about 3 days now (it always
says try again later.)

The funny thing is: for other apps and games the store works fine

I also tried to reset (with wsreset.exe) and reinstall the store, but without an effect

That's very odd. Sorry to hear the issue is persisting, but we're getting closer to a resolution now that the game shows as owned. Could you give the suggestion on

this Answers forum page a shot? Specifically the TokenBroker file deletion (rather than the repeated refresh which you can try, but the latter solution may be more effective).

Deleting the folder %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\TokenBroker\Cache helped!

Game is downloading right now.
