Halo: Reach Ranking System

I recently made an account and have played the Team Hardcore playlist. It has a number rank that goes up as you win and down as you lose. Starts at 1 and I got it to a 7 and then my game crashed. When I restarted it I was back down to 1. Played some more,
I got up to a 6 and then got off for an hour and came back to it being a 1. I played some more before going to sleep and got up to an 11, checked back in the morning and now I'm at a 2. I'm well aware that this is a very low level, but it's still very frustrating
being stuck. I've won 19/22 games, again I know that's not anything crazy, but it's so unrewarding being constantly reset.

The game may have soft resets at certain points, if not, check the Halo Waypoint forums to get Halo specific help with your problem. https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/forums

Halo Reach had a very long ranking system Halo 4 has the shortest ever in the series it's to fast to max rank.

I agree the Reach arena was terrible. I also agree that they need a combination of Halo 3 and Halo Reach matchmaking. The reach matchmaking just doenst seem to work anywhere near as good as the Halo 3 matchmaking. A lot of that has to do with the fact
that your points carry over from the campaign, to firefight, and to the multiplayer. They should have a different rank for each system like in Halo 3. If I am in the shotty sniper playlist I should be a different rank then when I play BTB. This worked VERY
well in Halo 3. This did not work well at all in Reach. They need to dial that in for sure. The matchmaking in Reach just never worked as well as it did in Halo 3 IMO.

Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach, and Halo 4 all have a trueskill rank system. It was hidden in Reach and will be hidden in Halo 4. I just hope it works as well as Halo 2 and Halo 3. It didnt work well at all in Reach because they allowed you to rank up in
the Campaign and in Firefight. So its going to be interresting to see how it works in Halo 4. As long as it works as well as Halo 2 and Halo 3 I will be happy.
