Halo Reach on MCC says it’s not installed but it is

Okay so last year I bought Halo Reach on the MCC, I did have game pass at the time I’m pretty sure so the game was like a dollar off (don’t know if that would effect anything). It worked a few months ago but now when I try to play reach through MCC it brings me to the Xbox store because reach “isn’t installed”. Yet it says the game is installed on the Xbox store itself. I went into “manage games and add-ons” for MCC and it lists Reach as an add-on and says it’s installed but I still can’t find or play the game. I could try uninstalling it and then reinstalling it but would that get rid of all my progress and achievements or would they stay?

If you've purchased the game on your account, it should be on your ready to install list. However, before trying to reinstall the game, I would recommend Checking your Xbox purchase history just to make sure that the game is on your account. If that's the case, then please preform the following steps and check again.

Remove your account:

First, please select System > Settings > account > remove accounts and then select your account and select Remove to confirm then re-add your account.
After doing that, please make sure to sign in using the correct account which contains the game.

Power Cycle your console:

Turn off your Xbox by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds. The console will turn off.
Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

However, if the issue persist, please try to Reset your console: Select System > Settings > System > Console info > Select Reset console > Choose Reset and keep my games and apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

I have the same problem!! I have bought this game and click the MCC, it launches, I see the "easy anti-cheat" window load, then the opening cinematic plays, it then closes or crashes when the "343 industries" shows
and the Halo Reach Microsoft app page is opened and says I need to install Halo Reach. But I did install it!!!!!

Halo reach requires Halo MCC if you have already installed halo MCC you need to install on the same storage device, you can format the device following the steps here

Right-click on the partition on your SD card which you want to format, then select the “Format” option from the context menu.

Because you havent installed the mcc version which you need to purchase

Bc halo reach doesnt count towards mcc achievements only bc achievements on your profile
