Halo Reach: Cannot get past title screen

Hello, i download halo reach on steam and the game launches and after going through the "343" and Microsoft opening animation screens, it says "press enter to start" when i do, instead of being prompted to sign into an Xbox live account, ot simply says "error
while signing into xbox live" and i get the option to retry or cancel and thats it. However, my internet connection is solid so i am stumped. Any help will be appreciated!!

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend to try the
troubleshoot game installation for Windows 10. Also, try rebooting your network hardware as an extra step.

I have been having the exact same issue with BluRay opening with the Halo Reach disc.

I purchased the disc directly from Microsoft online store.

Cannot get past the BluRay screen.

Get this fixed. I have tested the disc in a friends Xbox one and no luck

If it helps, I think it is also worthwhile to note that the title screen in halo (the press enter to continue screen) and the logging in screen which comes before checking for new content in msfs takes a long time to get past.

when you mean press r on main menu do you mean on halo? because thats the problem i cant get past the title screen
