    Halo Reach and ODST are not installed on Master Chief Collection


    I purchased the MCC on disc. I installed the game to my XBOX One S and downloaded all DLC, including the Reach and ODST modules. I can see those modules in my downloads along side the main game. But MCC tells me they're not installed when I try to open them. I already tried reinstalling the game, and reinstalling just the two modules on their own. Neither has helped. I found this same problem https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...t-it-is/c058d148-886a-4a88-9cf9-1617a78c6692, but none of those solutions work either. Can I seriously just not play 1/3 of the game I bought?

    Hi, the version of odst you purchased, was it the xbox one version for Halo the Master chief collection or the Xbox 360 version of the game? If it was the Master Chief collection version, then you need the master chief Collection installed on your Xbox
    One to be able to download the game.

    Halo ODST for the Xbox One is an Add-On for the Master Chief Collection. you must own that in order to play it.

    When you fire up the Master Chief Collection, you should be able to start a campaign (under Halo 3) for ODST.

    The Original Xbox version of Halo CE is only backwards compatible on the the 360
    To play it on the One X you would need Halo The Master Chief Collection which includes
    Halo CE Anniversary

    Halo 2 Anniversary

    Halo 3

    Halo 3 ODST - available as add on content

    Halo Reach - available as add on content

    Halo 4

    And at the moment it is HALF PRICE in the Microsoft store (with ODST and Reach included too)

    I would, but I just sold my Halo games other than Reach and ODST to put towards the Master Chief collection :(

    Well technically if they bundled Halo reach and Halo 3 ODST it wouldn't be the complete master chief collection as the chief isn't the main character in those games. He is in a cryotube as an Easter egg in Reach and you can have his voice for firefight and
    that really about it.
