    halo nightfall won't play


    I downloaded halo nightfall through the halo channel and redeemed the code that came with halo the master chief collection. when I go to watch it it still says I need to buy nightfall even though it is downloaded. when I click it it takes me too the xbox
    store and says its installed. but going back to the halo channel from there it tells me to buy nightfall.

    Master Chief Collection: Halo Nightfall won't play.

    Having a similar if not the exact same issue. I have the hard copy of MCC, installed the Halo Channel, and used the code included with the game to get Nightfall. When I open the Halo Channel and go to Nightfall, the only option it gives is to Buy Nightfall.
    Even when I hit that button though, it takes me to Nightfall in the MS Store and says I already bought it. Even so, it won't let me play it, it still says Buy Nightfall. WTF?

    Halo Nightfall not working

    Hi I've bought a physical copy of Master Chief Collection with the Nightfall download code. I redeemed the code on the store, it download, but it won't let me play it on the Halo Channel! It just says "Buy Nightfall". I've try reinstalling both items and
    hard-resetting the xbox, making sure I've been logged in as the appropriate user. The store says that I've purchased it why doesn't the Halo Channel?

    The exact same thing happened to me and I'm still not sure what to do. I especially wanted the Nightfall armor and helmet that you get for watching it, but no, it won't work...

    Yeah I was pretty hyped for Nightfall when it came out and I got MCC (around Christmas time a few yrs ago), I redeemed the code but nothing ever happened. Apparently there is armor you get for watching it now. Bummer I can't watch it, I was jumping up and
    down like an excited little girl at a One Direction concert when I saw the leaflet.

    xbox support was no help they told me to come here I highly doubt this will ever get resovled

    Sorry to hear about the trouble. To make sure, is it possible another account was signed in on your Xbox One when you redeemed the code?

    it said the code was accepted when I entered and it downloaded like it was supposed to just still says I need to buy it .

    GAME IS GARBAGE!

    - halo 2 won't save checkpoints if you "resume"

    - matchmaking broken

    - can't watch POS nightfall because the menu music LITERALLY WON'T STOP PLAYING.

    Oh my god I've never seen such unprofessional garbage.

    If you had the Halo Channel prior to using the download code for Bundle, you might want to remove both Halo Channel and Nightfall, then sign out of your profile. Next, press and hold the power button for ten seconds, until the console shuts down, unplug
    from power for the recommended five minutes, then power back up, sign in and download the Halo Channel and then Nightfall. You have the license for both, therefore should not be prompted to purchase.

    Navigate to the Halo Channel app, locate nightfall and try to play an episode.

    agree with this thread...halo nightfall no longer plays...I have the disc version of the game plus used the QR code included with the game package to download the halo channel (even though I already had it)...now if I click on nightfall either in game or
    through the app it will not play....have tried reset and uninstalling/reinstalling the app.

    Why? Did you watch all of the Halo: Nightfall episodes? If so, you will unlock the "Nightfall" armor for Halo 5 under the rewards tab at the top right of the screen and it will prompt you to download the Halo 5 Beta.
