Halo MCC install not working

    Halo MCC install not working


    I had Halo MCC installed, and played it a lot. I tried to launch it up and it said it was corrupted. I couldn't uninstall it so I tried to do it by hand. Inside the WindowsApps folder, there are some halo-related files that I can't get rid of, due to not having ownership of the folder. I've tried many things to take ownership of it, but nothing has worked. I had only been able to remove the files in "\Program Files\ModifiableWindowsApps".

    When I try to reinstall Halo MCC it get stuck on 0% preparing. Im at a loss at what to do at this point.

    So you try to install Halo 1 from the MCC and it stops downloading at a certain percent every time? Are you trying to install on an external HD, or the internal one? I assume you've already tried a power cycle? Also have you tried installing other games
    and seeing if they will fully install, or if it is just this one game in particular that will not work?
    both on the internal and external drives idk what to do both halo mcc and halo 5 don't want to work for me the rest of the halo games work ( reach, odst ce, etc.) But not halo 5 and mcc both pre owned again

    Try doing what Echo4Ent suggests. If that still does. Not work you may need to reach out to the official support line for help.

    Halo Wars 2 not available to download on my PC even though it is already purchased on my Xbox

    It gets a bit complicated. If you have Gamepass then all should instal. The console will allow you to have Halo 5: Guardian, Halo Wars 2, Halo Wars De, Halo Spartan Assault and Halo MCC installed. The PC allows Halo CE, Halo, Halo Forge, Halo Wars 2,
    Halo Wars DE, Halo Wars Spartan Assault, Halo Wars Spartan Strike and Halo MCC to be installed.

    As for paying vs. free, the Microsoft Store should handle that. It might need resetting using a cmd prompt at admin level of wsreset. It takes a bit.

    I have had to uninstall and redownload MCC to get it to capture all, but it works!

    Let us know if you still have problems!

    To those having install issues, do as other have said, make sure to update halo mcc and make sure you have the disc in when installing, the campaign resides under the halo 3 campaign in halo mcc.
