Halo - MCC Halo 4 heads up display disappeared

I'm currently on Mission 2 - Requiem. When I entered the large room in the Forerunner structure, I noticed the following:

1) first few Covenant characters are dead

2) Cortana mentions the console but nothing happens when MC gets there (didn't try the RB button)

3) I notice there is no head-up display

4) MC could not leave the room and re-enter

5) Returning to the last checkpoint (the large room) has no effect, still no head-up display

6) walking around the large room shows all the Covenant characters are dead

7) no exit from the large room is available

8) after viewing the same mission on YouTube, I see what should be happening

9) MC goes to the console, hits the RB button, cut scene plays

10) MC activates the first energy beam, leaves the room

11) Now the Covenant characters are alive, but still no head-up display

12) targeting and killing the Covenant characters is definitely harder

Prior to entering the structure the head-up display worked as expected. Short of restarting Halo 4, does anyone have a solution?

343 have done a really good job with the Halo MCC update.

 

Remembering Halo

when I play Halo 4 it was the first halo game I played. then I was a fan since. Halo 4 campaign was great. After that I pick up HALO 3 and reach and now I get to play all halo in the MCC.

 

First, I would try hitting RB near the console and see if it will load the cinematic and hopefully fix your problems. If not, when you choose Halo 4 from the menu, you have the option to select certain missions. I would restart the mission and see if that
helps. You can even choose different points within the mission. I'm not sure how this will affect any achievements you are going after though. You can also choose Restart from the pause menu to restart the mission. I would try those options before restarting
the whole game.
