Halo MCC Easy Anti-Cheat triggering since last update

I think I found where the problem is.

Even after comparing this file to the same in another PC, you see that they are strictly identical but it still does not work. You have reset and repaired the game multiple times and by all indicated means, erased the files to have them repaired by the store, same with Easyanticheat, reinstalled the 115GB game more than 1000 times. Personally, it's been driving me crazy for a month. Try it, maybe it's just that.

Windows compression must be disabled on the hard drive where Halo is installed. Right click on it, properties, uncheck "compress this drive to increase the available space". If you still have the "anti-cheat incident" message in a loop, uninstall Halo Mcc, restart the pc and reinstall Halo from the Xbox app (or steam).

I noticed it because all my "XboxGames" folder was blue (the names) while the others are written in white (If the folder names are written in blue, they are compressed file/folders by Windows). If you cannot uncheck the "unzip" box (on the HDD, folder or file concerned), it may be due to an administrator permission problem in the security settings. Good luck !

Windows is compressing the folder. It shows the uncompressed size but EasyAntiCheat sees the actual size. And he thinks it's modified files.

Je pense que j'ai trouvé de où vient le problème.

Même après avoir comparé ce fichier au même dans un autre Pc, vous voyez qu'ils sont strictement identiques mais ça ne fonctionne toujours pas. Vous avez réinitialisé et réparé le jeu de multiples fois et par tous les moyens indiqués, effacé les fichiers pour les faire réparer par le store, pareil avec Easyanticheat, réinstallé le jeu de 115Go plus de 1000 fois. Personnellement ça me rend fou depuis un mois. Essayez ce n'est peut-être que ça.

Il faut désactiver la compression Windows sur le disque dur où est installé Halo. Clic droit dessus, propriétés, décocher la case "compresser ce lecteur pour augmenter l'espace disponible". Si vous avez encore le message "incident anti triche" en boucle, désinstaller Halo Mcc, redémarrer le pc et réinstaller Halo partir de l'appli Xbox (ou steam).

Je l'ai remarqué car tout mon dossier "XboxGames" était bleu (les noms) alors que les autres sont écris en blanc (En bleu, ce sont des fichiers/dossiers compressés par Windows). Si vous ne pouvez pas décocher la case "décompresser" (sur le HDD, le dossier ou le fichier concerné), c'est peut-être dû un problème d'autorisation administrateur dans les paramètres de sécurité. Windows compresse certains fichiers/dossiers, affiche leur taille décompressée mais EAC voit la vraie (compressée) et croit qu'ils sont modifiés.

I have the same problem!! I have bought this game and click the MCC, it launches, I see the "easy anti-cheat" window load, then the opening cinematic plays, it then closes or crashes when the "343 industries" shows
and the Halo Reach Microsoft app page is opened and says I need to install Halo Reach. But I did install it!!!!!

Just uninstalled then reinstalled. I ensured to give permission for both MCC and Easy Anti Cheat ( input Parental PIN), still no luck. It prompts up the "Sign In" after pressing Enter, and the same "Blocked apps" message appears.

I even tried to launch the "without Anti-Cheat enabled", option from Steam and the issue is still occurring. I did another test on a M Rated Game from Epic Launcher (Void Bastards), and I had no hinderances loading that. Even launched the Special Edition of Skyrim from Steam, no issues. Even Blocked, then unblocked Halo Infinite, and it still launched just fine.

It has to be a Microsoft issue or something with Easy Anti-Cheat.

Thank you, I'm also perplexed by this. (For reference, in my experience it's mostly 3 and Reach that bugger me about this, some of 2A and 4, can't say if I recall CE or 2C being as nitpicking, if at all, about it.)

I was thinking it may have to do the "Experimental Settings" framerate being set to unlimited for my 60 Hz screen, despite me also having V-Sync on and all other graphic settings in-game maxed out.

I sometimes experiment with higher settings but also a normal 60 FPS setting in-game, in case the server/game, to my assumption and guesswork, thinks we're "playing too good for our framerate" or reacting too well/fast because of the aforementione framerate and it treats that as if we're cheating, throttling, etc.

I'll try the only way I haven't yet, or at least IIRC have yet to run into "anti-cheat" false alarms with, which is 60 FPS limit but everything else graphics-wise maxed out.

I saw another Google result, though it had to do with an anti-cheat thing in campaign, which we haven't and isn't what we're experiencing, describing to check a major hard drive setting to change for whichever drive Halo MCC is installed on, that being the drive compression settings, to turn it off so it doesn't compress, as they believed the compression file size versus uncompressed file size showing up as different sizes triggers the anti-cheat.

There's also plenty of things there and maybe elsewhere about uninstalling/reinstalling, but...nobody got time for that, especially a game this ginormous.
