    Halo MCC Dedicated Server Ping Issue


    I had replaced the stock router I got and ever since then I havent been able to play MCC on my own. Everytime I try to play multiplayer by myself it says my ping is too high even though it goes to a max of 60ms. Xbox Support on Twitter has failed to help
    me and all I want to do is enjoy my game I’ve put so much time into.

    The issue is the complete lack of dedicated servers for Halo 5 in Australia and the resulting high latency. (Typically 130ms and above)
    It's not just you who has high pings mate, it's anyone who plays you. Really, it's you who's ruining the experience for everyone else. /s

    One of the great issues behind non-dedicated servers, but you're not going to find an answer for that.

    It's the PING you want to check - download/upload speed matter not at all.

    Dedicated servers will NOT remove lag. Slow ping is slow ping no matter what you do.

    Dedicated servers is more about making sure there's no host (with an unfair network ping advantage) and no stability issues (host decides he doesn't like losing so he turns his/her X1 off).

    I only play shooters that use the Microsoft dedicated servers and so far that is Titanfall and Halo MCC. I don't know about the rest of the world but here in Australia they are working nicely now. Halo MCC had a bit of a rough start and still uses a peer
    to peer backup but it's really nice when you get to play Halo 3 on them (my favourite Halo of all time).
