Hello everyone, long time contracted admin here, or at least was on the Xbox 360. I think I have solved the Halo Matchmaking patch frustration and have a fix. Unfortunately, it's a series of steps... First, if you didn't get the patch yet, unplug the
ethernet or disconnect your connection and and unplug in the back the Xbox One power cord.

This typically works, but for it to take its full effect, you'll have to unfortunately clear your local saved games in system settings. Your Xbox One will restart and you'll unfortunately, for it to take the full effect and extreme improvement
on matchmaking for HALO Master Chief multiplayer will have to uninstall and reinstall game. I've test this with several of my friends list in different regions of the u.s. and it worked.

I called Xbox Support already and they are testing my solution out. It sucks that you have to uninstall and reinstall after you clear local saved games in system settings, but the patch and content update works great afterwards! I gotta go, I was only

I have gold, but I'm unable to play online. Already tried power cycling, didn't work.

What the title says. I tried playing both Halo 5 and Halo MCC; however, Halo 5 tells me that I need an account with Xbox Live Gold with multiplayer privileges enabled. Multiplayer privileges are enabled, but I can't play online. Same story with the Master
Chief Collection. I tried power cycling, but it didn't fix the issue. Help me please.

 

Halo MCC broken. Called support apparently not policy to refund broken games.

343 is aware of the issues with the game and are working on it. They have already released a small update on the 14th and have a larger update scheduled to address these issues next week.

Please be patient. They are working to fix the issues with the game and matchmaking.

 

Update: You may still have problems in keeping friends in the lobby still. I only tested it with myself in the multiplayer. Your best chances to find games for now is Team Slayer playlist. I had in the course of 1 hr in a half this morning, five games. Before
I uninstalled and reinstalled, I could only find one, if I'm lucky in 15 to 35 minutes. The matchmaking improved by the following: game connections improved, players found full lobby, waiting for lobby and end game report populated another game. It took me
when I reinstalled, about 3 hours including the update. If, you do it right in the steps above, Halo will advise you that a system update needs installed hit ok. Hope this helps and happy killing!
