Halo Master Chief Collectionnot compatible with 64-bit system

Bought Halo MCC but can't play as it's an 'unsupported 16-bit application' and is not compatible with a 64-bit version of Windows. Apparently Microsoft has known about this issue for some time. Sort it out. This is a flagship Xbox game on a Windows 11 gaming PC. Ridiculous.

May I know exactly which store or platform are you trying to install the game from? Is it from Steam or Xbox/Microsoft Store?
Are you able to install other Xbox games just fine?
What steps have you done so far?

Don't forget to check for your Windows updates and get all available updates from the Microsoft Store.

well first i have heard of it and i play a lot of mcc, so do my friends. never had any apps throw a 16bit issue, i also have multiple system in my home that run win 10 and 11 with zero issues.

searching the official 343 support forums results in nothing and other forums too.

Nah this is a known issue, lots of users have it with Gamepass games. Brand new pc, stress tested and benchmarked.

halo mcc works fine on windows 10 and 11, i used to play it via the xbox app but now have it on steam and play weekly, it is fully working with 32bit and 64bit systems.

there must be an issue with your system.

Halo Reach is not on the Master Chief Collection disc, only the Halo CE, 2, 3 & 4 are. If you want to play Halo reach, then you can purchase the dlc for the Master Chief Collection or download the Backward Compatible version.
