halo master chief collection update doesnt work

every time i try and update my halo after i installed it it say theirs a problem with the update is it me or is my xbone broken is anyone else having this problem

no you're not alone here. the update doesn't work. period

Please give the following steps a try:

• Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
• Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
• Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console.
• Power on your console and check to see if you are able to download the update.

I have the very same issue.

I go to play Halo: Master Chief Collection, but it keeps comming up with this message saying it needs a update, but as soon as I click ok to do the update, here is exactly what it says;

There was a problem with the update

Halo: The Master Chief Collection needs an update, but something went wrong. For

help, visit xbox.com/xboxone/update/help.

Well I went there and found nothing to do with this error. Just generic stuff.

what i have done so far:

- cycled the power to my modem router

- confirmed my Internet connection and speed. All fine

- cycled the power to my Xbox one disconnected the power for 15 mins, then rebooted the system. Still the same outcome

- went into the forums, and the closest thing I could find was these posts. So here I am.

It's as though the server is overloaded and timing out. And help would be appreciated.

Your problem was most likely related to a recent issue related to the latest Halo:MCC update. It was fixed around 30 minutes ago, so try your download again and hopefully that will solve your issue!

To quote the Xbox Live status page, "Were you unable to download the latest update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection? If so, you'll be happy to know that our team has resolved the issue, and the update is available. Thanks for being patient, Xbox members!"
